So this is what happens when you get a few days of really really stupid cold.

This nifty fun painting is 12 x 36 inches of acrylic paint on stretched canvas.

I was just bored because of the weather and had the background ready to go.

Been away from here for a bit.

Well I have been away from posting on any of my blogs for the last little while. Life sometimes can be a bit busy as we all know. I have got a few more paintings piled up and ready to go. Holidays have come and went, and a new year is well on its way. So, I don't usually say a lot with my paintings when I post here. I will try to add a little bit more as we travel through this year. But sometimes I find it hard to say a lot. some of my paintings or drawings just kind of happen because that is what is on my mind at the moment.

So I will start out this new year with the newest painting I have done and finished up.

This is an acrylic painting on canvas.

It is 12 x 16 inches.

Just a nice calm orange and yellow sunset silhouette. 

I did take multiple photos of this as I went and used it for part of a video I put to one of my songs.

A collection of Butterflies

I got the idea from on of my Zentangles I drew up the other day.

Thought the idea was interesting.

Was playing around with the background trying a spray bottle trick. The colours ran more than I would have liked, But I still managed to get a reasonable look to it.

So I had a set of these looking right in my face this morning wanting food and an ear scratch.

So these two kind of go together. I was tinkering again with one of my guitars near by.

This was a big one. I was just tinkering trying out a few sponge things with the leaves and stuff.

It was fun doing a big painting, I'd like to try a few more real big ones, but the canvases are not cheap.

Got the canvas on sale and it was still not a bargain price, but it was worth it.

So, just a random painting I did about a week or so ago.

16 X 12 inch acrylic on canvas.

I used the layer trick for the sky, but not huge contrasting colours like I usually play with.

Cowboy Hatted Skull

 

One more crazy looking back ground. Did a blend first of 2 different pinks then added a greyed blue over top with that new trick.

I know, you are wondering how I am doing that right? Well ... what would the fun in letting everyone know be.
