Red Skull

What to say really. I was tinkering while watching horror movies.

Acrylic paint on 12 X 16 inch canvas.

waves and sky

So, just a random painting I did about a week or so ago.
16 X 12 inch acrylic on canvas.

I used the layer trick for the sky, but not huge contrasting colours like I usually play with.

Cowboy Hatted Skull

One more crazy looking back ground. Did a blend first of 2 different pinks then added a greyed blue over top with that new trick.
I know, you are wondering how I am doing that right? Well ... what would the fun in letting everyone know be.

Well it is acrylic paint on a 16 X 20 inch canvas.

Acoustic Guitar on 2

So I was tinkering with my acoustic guitar near by.
I placed 2 smaller canvases end to end and traced the outline .... I cheated a little.

So 2 acrylic paintings both on 8 X 10 inch canvas.

Stained Glass

So I was playing around with a gloss medium and an iridesent medium.
Thought I might be able to get a stained glass look out of it.
Sort of worked, you can't really see it in this photo, I need to get a better camera for this.

Acrylic paint on a 16 x 20 canvas.

Martagon Lily

So this odd shaped canvas is one of the paintings I gave to A.R.L.S.
The Alberta Regional Lily Society.
They set it up in a silent auction and it went.
Acrylic paint on a 6 X 24 inch canvas.

Coralbells

Was just tinkering with colours and leaf shape. Coralbells or huchera.

12 X 16 canvas and acrylic paint.

Dandie Lions

So this is the first painting I did with the new back ground trick.
I really didn't have  much of an idea to go with it but I think this one turned out good.

12 X 16 Canvas. Acrylic paint.

Ragged Morning Glory

What can I say here. I started tinkering with a few new ideas in the acrylic paint.
First one was with the back grounds. It is a layer trick I picked up.
The second new trick was with how to blend colours on the brush as I went along.
I think it turned out OK.
This little guy is a 8 X 10 canvas
Acrylic paint.

Been Busy

So as it goes life got busy and I didn't get here much over the last few months.
I do how ever have a hand full of paintings That i have been working on. Tinkering with a few things in the acrylic paints.
Sold 6 paintings and gave 2 of my lily paintings away to the local Lily society for silent auction items. They didn't go for as much as i thought they might. But it still helped out over all in the long run.

So I will try and get a few more new paint tinkering's up so you can take a peek or 2.

For now I've slowed down on painting in the heat of summer as acrylic paint drys faster then I thought it would. Plus I am somewhat sidelined due to health. But that will be fixed soon.

Forward I go. I hope you all have a great summer.
Cheers and thanks for stopping by.
