A tree in the coming snow.
Acrylic paint on a 12 X 16 inch canvas.
Was playing around with the background trying a spray bottle trick. The colours ran more than I would have liked, But I still managed to get a reasonable look to it.

An eye

Runny Eye

As I am loading this up it is drying.
Just trying something a little different.

Tom Wilson quick Sketch

So last summer I was set to get a painting from singer songwriter artist Tom Wilson.
He was the big voice in the Canadian rock bad Junkhouse in the 90's He is also one of the three that make up Blackie And The Rodeo Kings, and his latest project is an acid folk group called Lee Harvey Osmond.

Right before the show I took a bit of time and did up a quick sketch that I wish I could have finished.
I had about 45 minutes in on this doodle before I had to jet out the door to do see the show and hopefully buy a painting from him.
Tom had to bring a big stack of paintings that evening and the one I had hoped for didn't make it. I still gave him this Drawing as a thank you.
I hope he liked it, and I hope he still has it filed away some place.
It is about 17 x 21 inches on a heavy stock paper. I used a few pencils and that was it.

Just Thinking

I've been tinkering with painting the last while as you can see. It was something that I use to do a bit of a long while ago. I have found it some what relaxing to break out the paints or sketch pad and put some ideas out there. Sat down a while ago and read through a book on acrylic paint mediums. It gave me a few ideas. Got a few others from random YouTube videos as well. I think I have close to 40 paintings stacked up here in my living room, plus the 6 I sold and the 2 I gave to The lily society for a fund raising.
The 6 I sold I ended up using that money to buy a couple small canvases and the rest went into my music recording fund. I did get 2 acoustic songs recorded in studio not too long ago now.

I keep coming back to the idea of selling all of the paintings I can in one big event. I hope I can get the last elements in place for a EP CD release and art sale. A couple of hours one evening or even a afternoon, where I set up the paintings to be viewed a hopefully sold as I play live a few of my songs through out the time every thing is set up. Not sure how or where to do this just yet, Or if there is even any interest from people in my local area to try such a thing.

Just wondering if there would be any interest in this idea?
If you have thoughts please by all means drop me a line here. I would love some input and thoughts.

Have a great Day!
